Seeing the Big Picture

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

It can be hard to see the big picture when life is happening. When I look back on my life up to this point, many things I couldn’t understand make so much more sense with the perspective of time and distance. I’ve heard that everything that’s happening is perfect, and that is comforting, but it can be challenging to know that in the present sometimes. It helps to get still and get in touch with God. It helps to remember that we are all being guided and that we are each of us so loved.

Sending you strength and hope today if you need it!

The Bigger Plan

Sometimes things happen in life that don’t seem to make any sense. You may lose a job, have a falling out with a friend, go through a divorce, or any number of things that, at the time they’re happening, seem unfair and incomprehensible. However, I do believe is a greater plan, and a reason why these things happen. You may not be able to see it right away, but if you give it some time, the reason will be made clear.

Throughout my life, I have sometimes found myself in situations in which I couldn’t see why I was there. Things happened to me that I couldn’t understand or didn’t make sense. This includes the “bad” things I’ve been through, like trauma, as well as “good” things like getting pregnant (a surprise) with my daughter. Often these things seemed to occur out of the blue, and I had a hard time making sense of them. But eventually their purpose was made clear, and I was able to appreciate why I had gone through certain things.

If you are feeling like there are events happening in your life that you just don’t understand, take heart. Be patient. Give it some time. The greater plan will be revealed. Live with God’s perspective and try to see things as if from above. Things will come together. “All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” I believe in you.
