Connecting with God

It doesn’t have to be hard to connect with God. It doesn’t have to be complicated or difficult. You can connect with God at any time because God created you, and God lives in your heart at all times. At all times. You can truly never be separate from God. You can merely be aware of God or not.

Why connect with God? If your life is going fine, you might not feel like it’s important. If you are feeling lost, depressed, or sad, connecting with God can help you remember how loved you are, and help you return to your true life’s purpose. I didn’t connect with God until I’d reached the end of what I could do in the world of the senses.

How can one connect with God? Be still and then sit in that stillness. Reach out to God in your heart. It takes only that soft love and space for you to be able to feel God there. A lot of for me it is turning off my mind, and believing that God really is there (because God is).

If you are feeling like you’re the end of your rope, try connecting with God. God loves you. God created you. When you connect with God you will know that, and your life will be renewed.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Your Angels are Here to Guide You

When feeling alone or lost, reach out to your angels in prayer. They are always with you and can help comfort and guide you. You are never truly alone, and you aren’t meant to suffer. Center yourself in your heart and ask for your angels to make themselves known. They probably won’t speak to you in a voice you can hear. They might leave you little signs like pennies or feathers. You might feel tingling. You might feel a sense of peace. You might have a dream. Your angels are here to guide and help you along this journey.

Starting Your Day

Waking up each day you begin with a clean slate. In dreams you reconnect with your source and are renewed. When you wake, in whatever way is best for you, nurture your connection to God and be gentle with yourself. Can you take a deep breath? Can you be kind to your body? As a mom it’s easy for me to want to hit the ground running, and sometimes I must. In the past year I’ve begun waking before everyone else, around 4:30 or 5 am – my best and only true quiet time, which allows me to begin the day slowly, from my heart, and to write these reflections to you. It has helped me immensely to feel connected to my life’s purpose and to my soul, and has allowed me to not get lost in the fraying of days. What do you do in the morning to stay connected to your heart?

Keeping a Clear Connection

Finding and keeping a clear connection to God and your heart is such a huge part of living an awakened life. Having a clear connection means you are able to feel and sense your heart and God. Just like we get dirty from living our lives and have to bathe, our spiritual connection needs to be maintained if we are to live lives that are whole.

There have been times in my life when I thought God had left me, especially after my beautiful experience. When I had to learn to life in the world again, it felt like God and my angels took a step back to help me learn to stand on my own two feet. I used to cry and feel completely abandoned. But I’ve learned that God never leaves any of us. God is always in our hearts- always. It took a long time for me to really learn that, and I still work on it.

Since God never leaves any of us and is always in your heart, if you feel disconnected, take some time to use your tools to reconnect and feel God’s love. Some ways that have helped me maintain a clear connection to spirit include prayer, meditation, clean eating (and sometimes fasting), being in nature, mind-body movement (like yoga), and writing. I can tell my connection is clear because I am able to get centered and feel my heart more easily.
