For my post this month I tuned into my angels and guides and received a message from them. I found it very helpful and I hope you do as well! Do not despair, neither shall thou be afraid. Humanity is awakening at this time. These are birthing pains, growing pains, the pains that are present when life changes from one form to another. I would love to say that I sit down to meditate for an hour a day. I hope someday when life is calmer I'll have time to do that! But for now, with a young(ish) daughter and a job, I am only able to catch a meditation here and there. When the world seems to be falling apart, it can help to remember that this is not all there is. I don't mean to ignore problems and issues in our world, but to see them from a higher perspective. At our core, we are all Love and we are all created from Love. When we get out of alignment with the Love that created us (and how many ways there are to do that!), we may lose touch with that Love, but the Love never goes away. Self-love is a form of self-care. Loving yourself can mean any number of things. To me, it means letting ourselves open up to the love that created us, to the love that always lives within us. In my journey and spiritual studies I've come to understand that we are all love at the core of our beings. It's a world-view that can seem impossible when watching the news, but probable when you see the love that exists quietly around you in friends, family, and loved ones. You are worthy of love. You are God's own creation. You can remind yourself of this truth by saying mantras throughout the day, such as "God loves me," "I am worthy of love," or "I am love." I was reminded of this truth in my meditation this morning. Knowing that you are loved just as you are heals many wounds. You don't have to do or be anything special.
