October Angel Message: Gratitude and Attention

Enjoy this monthly message from the angels! Thanks for being here and see you next month. Don’t be so afraid. Your path is perfect. Your angels see it all from above and from within and see the perfection in it all. You are God’s own beloved child and friend. You will never be left out to dry. Trust us in this. We are carrying you. We are holding your hand and guiding you even and especially when life seems hard and unmanageable. Reign in your thoughts and allow yourself to dwell on all the good in your life. What you pay attention to causes things to shift. What you look at grows. Tell us what you are thankful for. State it out loud or say it...

Come as You Are

I’ve just arrived at my sister’s house today after traveling halfway across the country for Thanksgiving. I’m so happy to be here! My family, her family, our parents, brothers and sisters-in-law are coming together to celebrate the holiday. As our families come together this week, it has made me think about how valuable and important it is to accept people for who they are. No family is perfect, and no person is perfect, but each one is who they’re meant to be.   Of course, I’ve grown in this area, and self-care is still important. Sometimes we have to take time for ourselves and set our boundaries. But today, right now, I’m really happy to have the kooky cast of characters that is my family. I love...

Creating a Dream or a Nightmare

It’s possible for each of us to create a dream or a nightmare out of our lives. Though it seems we are at the whims of fate, we each have the power within us to veer our lives into territory of love or of fear. Much of this has to do with our thoughts and how centered we are in our hearts. Thinking the highest thoughts and focusing on love allows us to bring more love into our lives, like an internal feedback loop. The reverse is true with fear and fearful thoughts. I write about this because I’ve experienced both in my life. I entered into huge fear territory after my trauma. I didn’t only create a waking nightmare in my life, I had terrifying...

How Gratitude Helps Me

Even though I’ve been writing and sharing about healing, I’m regularly stressed out. As a working mom of a toddler, I get overwhelmed. I can also become depressed about the way the world can seem, and especially sad about the environment. I wish I could say I were living in a state of perpetual bliss, but much of the time, I’m not.  At these times it helps me to become aware of the many things in my life to be grateful for. It’s easy to let the curtain close on the beauty of life when things get overwhelming or I get caught up in day-to-day details. Thankfully, there are always things to be grateful for.  When I remember to, which is *almost* every day, I make a...

Gratitude

"Express Gratitude. This is the most powerful tool you could be given. Gratitude can be a selected energy, and not merely an automatic response. When one actively chooses gratitude for everything presenting itself in one's life (and I do mean everything), it sets up an energetic signature that washes over and impacts the energy of whatever is now arising. This can transmogrify (defined as: "To transform, especially in a surprising or magical manner") the presentation itself- to say nothing of one's entire life." - Conversations with God, Book 4 Gratitude is a topic that is so important in healing, and one that I've grappled with. How can someone be grateful for the painful things? How can I be grateful when someone hurts me? Those are big and...
